Magabala Books

Magabala Books is Australia's oldest independent Indigenous publishing house. Based in Broome, in the far north west of Western Australia, it is also the most remote publishing house in the world! Magabala Books became an independent Aboriginal Corporation in March 1990, with the objective of restoring, preserving and maintaining Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and South Sea Islander cultures.
